thank you so much.....it makes perfect sense now!. one last question if anyone would know the answers too is that George and Louisa came from the east end slums of whitechapel, step areas.....would buying a family plot be something she could really afford? . Thank you again.

George left a will which was proved in 1880, the value of the personal estate being stated as "under £800". Since other entries on the page have "under £300", "under £600" etc, that suggests it would have been heading towards £800.

So although he didn't have a massive fortune, it seems he had a reasonable amount, and certainly enough for his widow to find 6 guineas for the burial plot.
