Pratts of Oak Tree Farm
« on: Saturday 11 April 20 18:05 BST (UK) »
During the lockdown I have decided to research local listed buildings. One is Oak Tree Farm, Norton. The earliest occupants I can find are the Pratts. Elizabeth Pratt died in 1843 and a list of her farming dairy and household stock is listed for auction in October of that year. I have found her burial at Norton and a gravestone reference for Norton, St Andrew's Parish Church which estimates her birth as 1765. This also mentions William her son who was born 8 Dec 1807, baptised 19 June 1808 and died 1841. I have found William's baptismal record which gives parents as Elizabeth (Maiden name Ely) and John Pratt. I can not find an online tree so I would be grateful for any info about Elizabeth, John and William. Did they have any other children? I have found Elizabeth and William on the 1841 census at Oak Tree Farm.
