Lookup - John Roote - Vicar of St. Giles

Looking for some guidance or help to find some information on John Roote who died in 1576, St. Giles, Northamptonshire.  He was the vicar in this parish and I am looking for information about him and his time as a vicar.  Where might I start to find more information on his life?

The usual reference for Anglican priests is Crockford's Clerical Directory.
