Emma arrived in New Zealand on the ship HEREFORD
Departed London on 17 April, 1874 and arrived in Lyttelton on 14 July, 1874.

Her future husband was on the same ship.

Single men:
Thomas A  MOSS, age 20, County: Middx. Trade: Plasterer

Single women:
Georgiana BOOLISHER, age 21, County: Sulfolk  Trade: Housemaid

Have you see the original manifest - does the county say Suffolk or Norfolk?   Either way, may not be meant to indicate where she was born, rather where she was resident at the time?

Cheers

I would buy the marriage certificate for further information.

You will find a tree on GENI, if you do a NET search of her name.

Her surname doesn’t seem to exist anywhere before the ship manifest.  :-\

The closest surname I can see is Bischlayer, but still no birth for her in England.

I agree that you need the marriage cert as a starting point:

1874/11578 Emma Georgina Boolischer, Thomas Anthony Moss

I’m no expert on NZ genealogical records, but you may find that you get more information out of the 1887 death certificate than the 1874 marriage certificate:
