charles Kerr
« on: Sunday 12 April 20 19:16 BST (UK) »
So during lockdown I have returned to my family tree
Charles Kerr is my great great grandfather on my mothers side
On my great grandmother birth certificate (Louisa Mary) born 18/8/1861 Charles is the father  mother Mary Kerr formerly Morken
he is listed as a shoemaker
Louisa baptisms 7/10/1861 also says Charles and Mary parents with occupation shoemaker
Feb 1866 gives another child baptism with Charles and Mary as parents and his occupation a bookmaker in Whitechapel
Then1871census only mentions Mary and the two children
I can't find a census for 1861
Neither can I fond a marriage cert for Mary and Charles or any mention of Charles anywhere
Any help

If the child baptised in 1866, is Charles Howe Kerr. I would think that Charles Snr is a Bootmaker,

the address for that Morken couple is 43 Gowers Walk. The address on Louisa's baptism is 32 Gowers Walk. Also, Mary Kerr is a tailoress in 1861.

This is turning into a puzzle,eh?

On the birth cert for Louisa Mary-is there an address given?
Born Louisa Mary but the baptism is for Louisa Elizabeth?

And that Mary has a sister called Louisa and a brother called Charles.
