Spotted the sugarbaker reference. This is what I have on the db for Gevert Mocken ...

MORKEN   Gevert   -   (bpts of 5 children)   (6 Charles St)   London   1857   St Dunstan Stepney Parish Regs
MORKIN   Gevert   -   (marr of daughter)   -   London   1860   St Mary Whitechapel Parish Regs

... those 5 children were all baptised 10 June 1857. They were Gevert b.1844, Geshe b.1847, Carl b.1850, Claus Hinrich b.1852, Herman b.1857

... but no sign of daughter Louisa who married Phillip Baker 8 April 1860 (they were both minors) - spelt Morkin in register.

added ... there's a death of a Mary Morken age 42 SepQ 1857 Stepney.

As Heywood says, the 1851 census shows Louisa 8 and Mary 15 the eldest children of Gevert & Mary, with the younger children as above, living at 11 New St Stepney.
Louisa 8 would have been a minor for her marriage.
Mary her mother 36 would have been 42 in 1857, confirming it is her death above.

Gevert shown as sugarbaker ... New St, Charles St, Backchurch Lane all refining locations.
And the previously mentioned Gowers Walk was also well known for sugar refining, and Wageners Bldgs were built for John Wagener a refiner nearby.

This is repeated information but I wonder then who this John G is and if it is Mary ...

1861 272 /125 /12
43 Gowers Walk

John G Morken married 24 yrs Baker b Stepney
Mary Morken married 22 yrs  Tailoress b Stepney

Is he an older child of Gevert

I see others on the page are ‘Sugar’ Bakers whereas he is a Baker.

He is too young to be John George Kurr but did he have a son?
I am a bit confused with relationships, I think  :)
