with the Woodhorn Archives closed I'm hoping somebody can help me with another source of info for an 1870 marriage.
George Pickard and Jane Rogerson were married 3 May 1870 in Newcastle.
Jane's first marriage (to Andrew Rogerson) was in St John, Newcastle and on the marriage bond to George Pickard she is described as being of that parish (although she was from Northumberland and lived in Alnwick).
Jane's father was Samuel Hume and I'm hoping to find a profession/occupation for him if possible (the Humes are the focus of my current research).
If anybody has access to the St John records and could see if their marriage was in that church it would be greatly appreciated.
