I can't find Joshua's birth or death anywhere.

I spent a few minutes this morning chasing Hannah Bentley, bap Eland,  15 Aug 1791/92 (3 entries on FindMyPast), father Abraham Bentley, mother not recorded.
There was a 20 Sep 1790 marriage, Elland, of Abraham Bentley and Mary Jackson. But the only Richard Bentley baptism I could spot, father Abraham, Mother Mary, was St Marylebone, London, 2 Apr 1794. "Fitted" the not born in County (Yorkshire) in '41 but mmmmm?

Also in the frame was an Abraham Bentley/Mary Parkin marriage, 6 Dec 1790, Birstall.

Haven't had time to chase fully - gardening duties call.

Ha! I see Abraham was a soldier in the 1st Regiment of Life Guards...........is it possible the regiment was based in London in 1794? Did wives travel with their soldier husbands in those days?
