Anne Monk

Hi!

I‘m looking for the right baptism of Anne Monk who married Nicholas Tooth in Worth in 1709. In another post I saw that the couple settled in Worth and was from the parish of East Grinstead, if I understood  that correctly.

There’s  a baptism in East Grinstead for an Anne Munck in 1683 parents John and Susan, but there’s also a marriage for an Anne Monck in East Grinstead in 1707 to Richard Upton. There’s also a baptism in Heathfield in 1687 with parents Stephen and Mary.

Its difficult for me to sort out the right Anne, maybe none of these two is the right woman.

Nicholas and Anne Tooth had two children I know of, Nicholas born 1711 Worth and Elizabeth born 1716 in Worth

Can someone help me to trace the right family?

She probably died in Worth but sadly I don’t know when

I wondering if this might be worth considering less than 20 miles away.

Hi Colin,

Yes this one is worth considering! She’s a hard one, I can’t say which one is the right one or if the one I’m looking for is one of them at all.

She was probably baptised in the Worth/East Grinstead Sussex area or maybe in the neighbouring Surrey area
