Esther Jane and her husband can be quite easily found on the 1939 census (we cant post details). She hasn't exactly moved far in 30 years!

I thought the next census was 1921? How do you find a 1939 one?

Sorry - census is a slight misnomer. A register was taken at the start of WWII which was used thereafter for various social security purposes. It was released a few years ago, but with information on people not known to have died redacted.  you can search the index for free on Findmypast
