George Mammatt buried in Witton Cemetery
« on: Saturday 18 April 20 17:09 BST (UK) »
Hello,
George Mammatt was born in Birmingham in 1827, third son of Edward and Amelia Mammatt, brother of my g.grandfather, Joseph Mammatt. He was a shoemaker and at 1881 Census, he was an inmate in the Workhouse Infirmary, Winsom Green, Birmingham. He died there and was buried in a common grave in Witton Cemetery in 1893. The gravesite location is Section 153, Grave No. 40391.
Unfortunately, I did not have this information when I visited the UK in 2014 (for the last time), and I would very much like to have a photo of this gravesite. If anyone visits Witton, I wonder if they could spare the time to locate this gravesite, take a photo and e-mail it to me. I'm in Melbourne, Australia. I would be very appreciative.
Chanel.
