Yes I did find that record later on and spoke to a person who looks after the cemetary in case there was any register info as to parents etc. Nothing. I know daughter Gertie used to go to Liverpool from Manchester  now and again. From that presumed to fathers grave.  Plus Leah being a widow in 1911. Could all be coincidence maybe.

Thank you again, appreciated.

You could try looking for Gertrude s birth under Goldie or Gertz as a first name .

Back on this one again.
I know that Leah Goldstein(Widow) was in Fortescue Street, West Derby in 1911 (Census)
David Goldstein last address at death was 6 Edge Mount, West Derby, Liverpool.
Without sounding cheeky, does someone have access to or know how I can see the electoral roll for the year 1910.
As I do not live in the UK will the  register give a previous address.  I say that because here in Italy by law you have to register with the town hall every change of address or town and the previous address' are recorded as well.
Thanks in anticipation

Unless they were Naturalized British, they won't have had a vote.

Thank you for the info.
They were not naturalised.  David do not think so. Leah was always shown as "Russian Subject".
Thanks again

They may not have been naturalized but during WW1 may have needed alien registration document .
I obtained one for my great grandfather it included a photo ..he had to register every time he changed address which must have been hard for a travelling salesman

There may be no trace of a ship list in UK records.  Records for incoming passengers within Europe were not kept.

The reference to a 1910 arrival for Leah might mean that they were in London, went back to Russia (or elsewhere), then came back to the UK in 1910.

Have you looked at the Morris Labiski who married in 1899 Mile End, possibly to Fanny Goldstein? If they were related to David and Leah then you might see them as witnesses. This family later used the spelling Leibiski.
