I don’t quite understand your post.

She is the wife of George Angus Gulliver, mother of Gwendoline. Her name on the headstone indicates that she was known as Louisa. She was born Margaret Louisa. Whoever gave the information upon her death for registration, obviously didn’t know the correct name of her mother.

Good practice in family history extends to obtaining certificates.  The quality and quantity of family history included in the Victoria BDM digitised images is outstanding, Perhaps better than images from Scotlands People.  I recommend checking out the Vic Resources listed at RChats Australia  Resources Board's Victoria sub-board.   NSW resources are at NSW sub-board.

Jamjar had  kindly provided the reference numbers for the bdm events noted in the replies, not just Vic but NSW, and England etc.  Also Jamjar  included the migration info, again that is significant  historic records for Australian research, the actual records can include several generations data ... names of parents of immigrants,  birth places, occupations...

I see our OP has been online since Jamjar replied, but perhaps has not noticed Jamjar's post explaining who was Margaret Louise GULLIVER,      as the change to the topic heading does not go back to the opening post.  I think the 24 hour '"rule" may restrict that.
