Thanks to everyone who responded.
I now don't think there is any doubt that it is Tòrr Réidh which, like so many places in Scotland, has been anglicised to Torree.
Makes perfect sense when I think about it!
Thanks all!

James

Hello James,

I have a 1771 map of Knoydart from a book I cannot place the name of it at this time.  However I have a digital picture on my computer.  Of interest it places a "Torrorary" on the coast between Inverie and Scottas.  Hope this is useful.
