she is supposed to be in Scotland

Does that mean they were separated?  Did they have children and where were they living?

I took it that they might be and also on the death cert .it says the government paid the funeral expenses and where his possessions  could be found.

They had two children that I am aware of Thomas who was born in Edinburgh  on 27Th April 1872

and Agatha Aitken Lizars Dunn born 14 May 1874 she was married and died in Edinburgh in 1947.

On her death cert it gives she was a widow of looks like James Inch and an address ???? Post Office in South Africa her daughter Flora M Inch  registered her death.
Unfortunately  SP is closed and I will not be able to ask them to try and improve the writing on cert.at the moment.

On the death cert . John and Sarah are both deceased .
****  Daughter Flora May Inch married William Forbes Arbuckle 1950 Edinburgh she died there  in 1981 aged 86 her mother's maiden name was Dunn

There was a UK return passenger list for Miss Ethel Sarah Dunn - aged 39 years - teacher - going to 18 Saughtonhall Drive - arriving Southampton 16 December 1938 on the Windsor Castle.

another one arriving 28 December 1936 - on the Windsor Castle - going to that same address.
