Please see reply 5.  Any possibility his ashes are in the same grave?  If he remarried in 1986 & died 1987 surely his widow would have made the funeral arrangements - not the council?

 Thanks for your reply but he was not cremated in Grantham Cemetery as they have checked with their buriels and cremations records including if the ashes were removed from Grantham which is the usual place for anyone from Sleaford to be cremated which is making it difficult to find the information needed.
