Well it is Friday,a lot of dates this week. Queen’s Birthday, St  George’s  Day
and Saturday is Anzak Day when our Antipodean Friends and those from Australia and New Zealand  who  paid the supreme price  are remembered.

Glorious weather and lots done in the garden.
Need some more bird food, not often I get birds in my garden, but for some reason a cheeky sparrow is coming and the food in the hanging feeder is getting low,I should hate to let him/her down.

Found a Peony I planted two years ago, but it did nothing and seemed to have died, but no there it is ,what a bonus if it flowers.
Everlasting Sweet Pea coming on fine but I need a willow trellis to support it.
Apple tree full of blossom, the Bramley, the Cox’s snapped off in s gale but new side shoots coming along so hopefully it will grow  now as  a columnar one.
Only eleven days to my Tesco delivery, I must try to put some bird food on it .
Hope everyone is well and coping ,for me the quietness means the birds seem to sing  more and it is peaceful.
My very old neighbour ,who I ring every morning is having trouble with her phone, she can’t hear me but I can hear her,it is worrying .
I will perhaps see her daughter tomorrow ,over the fence when she calls to stock up her Mum’s freezer etc.
I don’tthink It is mine as all my contacts hear me and I hear them.
She will be 93 shortly.
Cooler weather forecast next week, but still fine .
Cheerio, nothing very exciting to report.
Goodnight everyone.
Viktoria.

Has your friend accidentally switched the switch under the phone to the off position,  my neighbour did the same, worth a try

Thanks,I am just about to phone her,if any problems I will have to tell her daughter, will do anyway.
Neighbour says my voice fades after a few seconds ,IWill phone her now —-
Still a bit of a problem but better when she put it to her other ear, daughter comes today so my neighbour will explain to her.
I must  water some plants whilst still in the shade.
They are wild plants but lovely and growing on the other side of the gravel boards at the base of my fence, blue bells, bladder campion,Welsh poppies,
Aquilegia that have escaped, growing in the side lane, but poor soil which dries out as it faces West and mid  afternoon like an oven.
Not eaten yet,no appetite but must drink plenty of water.
Willhave my bath after the “ gardening” then  brunch and a lazy afternoon .
Tidy up and perhaps bake this evening, few scones, plain ones as bread flour low now.
Must remember sunblock ,and sun hat!
I do feel for those who have no garden, I can chat to passers by as the lane is a convenient short cut and see lovely dogs on their way for walks and owners chat from a distance, neighbours too, also at the front garden.
Keep your peckers up everyone, it will end and hopefully not too far off .
Then starts the task of rebuilding our country.
But the world is prettywell in the same mess .
I have a strong sense of deja vu!
Kindest regards to you all.
Viktoria.

Saturday 24th
Don't know where you hail from Viktoria but in Essex, England there will be no sun hats or sunblock, very overcast and dull, we can do with rain I must admit

North West ,Lancashire, truly hot today ,but a change in the offing according to TV weather yesterday evening.I hsve weeded all along the very long side of my house and garden  boundary.
Now the wild flowers can be seen.
Off for a soak in the bath as I ache all over.
No time to cook properly so a jacket potato with beans and cheese, bit of salad.
Proper dinner tomorrow, chicken ,roasties and broccoli.
Will wash my hair and the Lord only knows what it will look like !
I am not good with the hot brush so will attempt to get some “ lift” with rollers! ::)
I will probably resemble a well dressed lavatory brush!
Ah well , not going anywhere.Well I am, it’s Memory Lane again and only I now to remember, so I can remember just what  I like!
Best wishes to you all especially those who are having a tough time.
Viktoria.
