What became of Elizabeth Fielding?
« on: Friday 24 April 20 16:43 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Elizabeth was born in Devizes in 1843, as Elizabeth Eden. She married Henry Fielding in Devizes in 1868. She’s last on the 1881 Census there, and her husband died there in 1886. I can’t see her after that, or a possible remarriage. Can anybody please help me?

Edwin had married, but I’ve just found them in 1891 under ‘Falding’: https://www.findmypast.co.uk/transcript?id=GBC%2F1891%2F0011562672

But no remarriage or death ??? I can find the marriage of her daughter Annie Elizabeth Fielding, but nothing more.

Edwin and Edward are always being confused! One ancestor was christened with Edward as his middle name, but was born, married, and died as Edwin!

Can’t see an obvious death. There’s one in the Devizes registration district in 1892, born c. 1846. Possibly her?

The younger boys are with their brother Edwin in 1901 so that Elizabeth death in 1892 could well be correct.
