James and Sarah Kirkby
« on: Friday 24 April 20 17:04 BST (UK) »
This looks like a marriage photograph 1899. A younger gentleman than the previous one I posted.
Don't know why it has taken me so long to sample all your talents.  Looking forward to what you make of this one which is a postcard photo.

Thank you very much
Sandra

Hi Sandra,
I am not very good at dating photos, but I think this photo is later than 1899. I would think after WW1 into the 1920s.  They both look very young.

Yikes. That would be really strange, the writing on the back tells me who it is and that fits with a 1899 marriage  :-\  By 1920 they had 11 living children.  :-\

I think you'll maybe have to find another couple, Sandra. It's definitely 1920s clothing.

Could have been a guest at a wedding I suppose but I would think 1920 would make him look to young. He's a younger version of yesterday's  :-\

If this is 1920 - out of interest - what date is the other photograph which is the same person ?
