yes thank you Capetown. I do have the children. I have Joan who has died in 2005. The son may be still alive so I won't mention him. Although I would like  to know what their middle initials stand for. Alan

That's just given me an Idea. I have now found her middle name on the GRO on her death. Alan

Is it only my GRO death search page that jumps from 1957 to 1984.

because I want to look up a death in 1961 for the middle name of Ronald J Pockett.

You are not alone Alan, something to do with the rules on BMD. However!

According to his probate record Ronald John Pockett died 6 Nov 1961, he left £1533: 6s to his widow.
