Or maybe NOT.

This appears to be a son Robert's death notice.

Thanks matthewj64.

Looks like this family lived on Bruny Island for many years.

Your help greatly appreciated

Thanks again matthewj64 - wonderful stuff.

Also wivenhoe - interestingly the marriage notice appears as GRANT (sic) and also BURROWS.
I am now 99% sure Lydia was Robert Burrows daughter - not niece as stated in the article.

The Probate notice you quote also suggests that Margaret HEAL(E)Y wasn't married to Gaunt or Burrows.
Though she died and is buried at St.Arnaud, Victoria as Margaret GAUNT.

Thanks to your help I have now found this on the Bruny Island Lighthouse Keepers

https://brunyisland.com.au/blog/article/cape-bruny-lighthouse-history

Which among things mentions that William Hawkins, husband of Lydia, wrote a book :)

Thanks again, Dale

Death certificate for Lydia HAWKINS, died Hobart 1927, would record her birthplace, and, if born elsewhere, her years in the Tasmania.

That would be a clue to her origins, and.....mother....(Margaret?)

Can you list all the information on the death certificate for her mother, Margaret.

Wivenhoe - thanks.

Unfortunately death certificates notoriously inaccurate eg Richard Gaunt

I do not have Margaret's death certificate .
I do have a burial in the St.Arnaud cemetery and the Digger Entry for death which lists only her father as Healey.

Thanks for your help.

Could you post or send me the link to Richard's probate record.

Thanks again, Dale
