Caroline - so we are not talking about the salmon with asparagus recipe.

Pesto salmon with beans gratin:

https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/pesto-salmon-bean-gratins

No BumbleB.. but you've now got the right one..

Oh no Roobarb 😱😱😱😱 well you could use something else to mix with the cream cheese that you like then... sundries tomatoes, tapenade crushed olives.... I didn't have any canellii beans so I used a time of mixed beans and I added mushrooms as we like them... suppose you could spit in what you like really... I also had more breadcrumbs and grated cheese so I just sprinkled it over the whole thing...
I'm afraid I don't stick to recipes I use what I have take out what I don't like and add what I do! Hate anyone asking me for a recipe because it's never as 'it says in the book' ...
Good luck have fun and I'll look forward to hearing your take on it!

I think I need to write this in tiny letters .......... I can't eat cream cheese, I'm lactose intolerant.  :-[  I'm okay with hard cheeses but I'm guessing it's not quite the same!

I very much appreciate your suggestions Caroline. As I live on my own and don't have a lot of interest in cookery, there are many ingredients I don't have. Also, because of the times we're living in at the moment I don't want to experiment with things I might not use up. I hope you understand, you've been so kind, I'd hate to appear awkward. It was the idea of just chucking it all in that attracted me, I hadn't really given much thought to what other ingredients might be involved. I hope the recipe has been useful to other people.

No problem Roobarb- not everyone enjoys cooking and doing it for one can be a bit of a test unless you batch cook and freeze.

I can understand that not all items are in everyone's store cupboard - my OH likes eating and I'm trying to come up with various dishes just to keep life more interesting.

I've been doing slimming worlds recipes for some time and using low cal spray fats, fat free yogurts and low cal mayo I've lost a stone and quarter... it's been really easy and I've still enjoyed my glasses of 🥂So not all bad!
So I like experimenting with what I have to hand!

Currently I'm making chicken, ham leek and mushroom tarragon pie for tonight be a lemon drizzle cake.... no substitute for the sugar or fat though as you have to have a little indulgence sometimes!

Take care and enjoy what ever you decide to cook
