John W s father on his marriage certificate to Gertrude Fallagar was fictitiuos
Tho birth father may have been  named John & may have been a miner

Death probably 1933
Wife had remarried

* but  J W not noted as deceased on his son George s wedding cert 1960
Profession listed as buffet car attendant

 At marriage JW was listed as a soldier by profession

Gerty francis Fullagar b 1907.is bothering me

Would she really.get her fathers name and proffession wrong on her marriage
Could she have referred to a step dad and thevsurname just been assumed

Ive checked with a tree owner who hasvtaken dna and has her on their tree

I.have the right person with siblings her.married sister was a witness at her wedding

Sooo I did wonder about her birth date and her parents wedding date

Could she be child of a different father pre marriage

Is it worth paying for a birth certificate..the child is unlikey to have been registered under birth fathers name  .

So thatnmeans theres no value in obtaiining her paremts wedding certificate either
Tho it may lead me closer to finding more about her irish.bpen.mother

Update and back to the drawing board

I've come to the conclusion that John William DOBSON

father of George & Ron is probably not son of Harriet DOBSON  but another single domestic servant called Sarah J DOBSON


I LL have to find other John William.DOBSONs with single mothers  & order birth certificates

I haven't found a corresponding  baptism
But most likely from DNA matches   is that his mother was Sarah Dobson b1884 daughter of Frederick Dobson 1857  & Elizabeth Thirkeld 1865
As he has DNA connections to descendants of 2 of her siblings at 3rd cousin level

Mystery of why Frederick Fullager is  put down as father of Frances Gertrude Fullager

Could it be that her mother was living with Fred DILLON
