The GRO is still working
« on: Thursday 30 April 20 12:44 BST (UK) »
As the subject says they are working. I have just received a PDF ordered before the lockdown which should have been despatched on 1 Apr. Just thought people would like to know.

They will have a lot of certificates to issue at the moment  :'(

From their website
Coronavirus

Following the introduction of the latest measures to reduce the spread of Covid-19, we may not be able to complete orders within the published timescales.

To help ensure that our services are accessible to those that need them most throughout this period, if you are able to do so we would ask that you delay making your order until a later date.

During this period we will not be able to provide information on the progress of orders, but please keep checking this page for further updates.

Thanks for the update. I have ordered a pdf but had no idea when I'd be likely to receive it. Good to have a timescale - thanks

Ditto.
Just had one today (May 5th) ordered 1st April.
So not too long a wait.  :)

No. Still waiting for a certificate ordered at the same time as the pdfs Dawn.
But then it has a long way to go here on the other side of the world!
Post is getting through from the uk but understandably taking much longer than usual.

Thanks for the update.
Can someone kindly tell me how long they normally take as I only ever order by mail ?
Wondering if it may be better to wait a while before ordering.

Thanks
Trish.

The GRO have a service level agreement of 4-5 working days. Then you have to factor in postal times. The pdf's with no postage should arrive just after.

However that service level has gone out of the window. I know people are still waiting for paper certs from the week before lock-down ie 16th-20th March

I know that there is a skeleton staff currently working but their backlog must be huge.

The website does ask for non-urgent requests not to be ordered until things improve.

Hello

I'm just wondering if anyone has received any pdfs back recently? I know the GRO has other priorities at the moment; I'm just curious about timescales.
