Where did she go?
« on: Thursday 30 April 20 18:39 BST (UK) »
I've been trying to find:

Beryl A. F. Newman, Born Greenwich, London in the April Quarter of 1922. Parents Thomas L. Newman and Lena Revel.

I've found a Marriage for her in London in October 1942 to John L.A. Hummel.

There's a possible listing on the Electoral Rolls in Woolwich in 1945, - but nothing after that.

There's a possible re-marriage for John Hummel in Brighton in 1976, and he Died there in 1994, but I can't find anything else on Beryl Hummel, Nee Newman.

Can anyone else see a Re-Marriage or Death for her please?

Cheers,
Romilly.

With only two Beryl A F's registered in 1922, could this death be connected? :-\
June 2001, Brighton
Beryl Alice F Ravell

Jon, - you are truly the Search Wizard of Roots Chat! :-)

Her Mother's Maiden name was Revel, - I wonder if she reverted to using it? (I can't see a Ravell Marriage).

Thanks so much for looking, - much appreciated.

Beryl was my late Mother's 1st Cousin. We tried very hard to find her in my Mother's last years, - without success.

Romilly.

The 1939 census gives Beryl Parslow's date of birth as 20th June 1922, so with the very similar surname (to her mother's surname) as well, that looks very interesting. (The Newman/Revell marriage was registered in the same quarter)

Thanks for looking Richard.

Beryl was registered at Birth as, Beryl Alice Frances Newman, in the April/May/June Quarter of 1922.

She became Beryl A.F. Hummel after her Marriage in 1942.

I haven't found a Parslow Marriage for her, - can you see the details?

Romilly.

Sorry; I should have been clearer. Beryl Parslow was the other Beryl A F mentioned in Jon's first post. I was simply showing that she isn't the one who died in 2001 (making it even more likely that the 2001 death is your Beryl).
