I have found the James Jarvice who married Maria Fryett 20 Nov 1786 at Felsted.  James is the son of Joseph Jarvis and Elizabeth Patie?? and was baptised 21 Apr 1745 at Gt Easton, one of eight children baptised at Gt Easton.

Patie?? this is how the bride's surname is shown on Ancestry's Essex Parish Register Index, I did a check on Family Search and the entry has a copy of the Parish Marriage Register, FS see the surname as Patier, unfortunately the last part of the bride's surname is covered by tape making it even less clear than the rest of the details.  I will get the reference number and ask the ERO Archivists if they decipher the surname.

It wouldn't surprise me if the surname was Patience.

FYI  Elizabeth Patie is now confirmed as Elizabeth Patience, the Essex Record Office duty Archivist has kindly checked the Marriage Bonds and Allegations and reports that the bride's surname is Patience.

As usual, first rate service from the ERO staff, even in these very difficult & trying times due to the Corona virus.
