There is a baptism record transcription in Cambridgeshire of their son ARJA 1942
Lewis John Adam's occupation Grenadier Guards, address Rosendale High Street

Hi again Ladyhawk

The Register of Marriage shows Lewis as being in the Grenadier Guards.  He was also a Professional Boxer.

When you say “the trail sort of runs dry” from their 1939 marriage - do you mean after the birth of their child ARJA in Cambridgeshire 1942?

Did they have any other children?

I'm sure you have already checked 1939 Register?
(of course LJA may not be listed as he was in the GG).

What about any Electoral Registers?

Hi Mckha489
Do you have access to the W & P Record?  There may be a beneficiary mentioned that could help - ? Margaret.

Hi Ladyhawk

All this information that's flooding in now is news to me.  I've been unable to access anything since their marriage in 1939.

I have sent you a PM with the full name of their son and a possibility for two others.

Cambridgeshire ER's on F M P only go from 1920 - 1932
parents Alfred & Eliza Kate Adams appear to be living at High Street (Polling district or place Great Shelford) year 1920

There maybe another couple with similar name
Alfred Snr. & Kate Eliza Adams living at Bannold Cottages (Polling district or place Waterbeach) year 1931

No, sorry. It’s just an index on Ancestry to the Victorian records.

Thanks anyway. It was a bit of a long shot given how recent the death.
