I subscribe to Ancestry and am trying to find baptism record for William Gretton born c1801 at
East Stoke. I can see an index on " find my past " for 1801 on Nottinghamshire Baptism Index 1538-1917 but without a subscription I cannot view details. I thought that Ancestry would have all these records but it doesn't appear to have this, nor can I find on family search. Are there any other sites where I can find the details without having to take out another subscription please ?

Freereg have some Notts registers but I can't see that baptism

That's the confirmation I wanted, that Williams parents were William and Sarah

I'm not aware that any of the commercial websites give access to Notts PRs (I wish they did!)

However, the Notts FHS had some CDs and on that I can see the following baptisms in EastStoke to William and Sarah Gretton; William was described as a cottager on the thefirst, and as a labourer on the last.

1801 12 13 (born 1801 12 11)  Willm.   
1811 04 09  John   
1814 02 14    Ann   

This is probably the marriage:
1797 11 27   William   GRETTON   and Sarah   HOOTON   

Maybe this is Sarah's burial there?
1848 12 29   Sarah   GRETTON    age73   abode Elston
