There are only 2 things that are annoying me at the moment. One is that I cannot walk for as long as I normally do every day and the the other is I am sick and tired of being told to stay at home. I know I have to but there is no need to be reminded of it every few minutes. The TV does it, the radio does and the newspapers tell you to do it.

Do you ever wonder who is cutting the hair of the newsreaders, reporters and the people who give the daily briefings?

I think that's because there are lots of other people who act like they don't know they've to stay ay home.

Not 100% true, my ex reports that the house is fillthy and not good enough at housework.  He will bring up what every other 'proper person' has achieved in lockdown when back in court so cannot risk falling short

PharmaT, my heart goes out to you. I read your posts and am amazed by how much you obviously achieve while looking after your children too. Your ex sound like a right bully and I know from experience it's not easy to get the better of them or ignore them, particularly when you are exhausted with all that you are having to do on a daily basis. I sincerely hope that things get better for you, you sound like an amazing person.

You are right Roobarb, bullies are hard to beat.  It took me years, and then he started on our son.  They know which buttons to push and when to get you at your most vulnerable.  I’m Australian so don’t know how British courts work, but I feel you are worrying unnecessarily.  Thorough cleaning is for when he has the children.  As for those who show off all their craft etc what else have they done?  If they don’t also show their house it is because it’s a mess.  ::)

Well, we got off to a cracking start in the first couple of weeks but now....well I just noticed that you could actually write your name in the dust on my dresser, what have I been doing?
Simply trying to stay sane ! and I don't have children at home.

I'd be telling the little blighters that if they want to lounge around moaning they can do it in their rooms, otherwise they will be given a duster, cloth and the vacuum cleaner and jolly well help you out.  I used to threaten mine with cleaning duties, funny how quickly there was school work, music practice, an art project to be finished  :D

As for the telly, turn the thing off.

Does anyone feel under pressure to get everything done.

Most certainly not in any way whatsoever!!.
Do not let your ex push you about. My daughter stands up to hers and she doesn't have much of a problem with him.

Sadly some like to pressure others into getting things done, things that can wait, and can wait quite a while at that. Not everyone likes to do things right away and like to put things on hold, especially if they have bills to pay and are stressing during the lockdown. As said, homes are not palaces and showrooms. A persons home is her or his castle.
