I wonder if this is Thomas and Ellen McNeilly - this might mean waiting for the library to re-open in Hamilton to find obituaries for this couple.

There is a Canada Form 30A in 1923 when they arrive on the Marloch. Glasgow to Quebec.

Yes Sandra...they have 2 girls.

Obit for Josephine (nee Cairns) Ferries is in the Toronto Star, Dec 19, 1996.  It says she died on Dec 17 at Princess Margaret Hospital, in her 76th year.  Wife of the late John A Ferries.  Mother of S and her husband L Levitt and N and her husband P McPhie.  Grandmother of S and her husband F Clarke, and K Levitt.  Interment Prospect Cemetery.

Obituary for Karl James Reid in the Toronto Star, 26 May 1987.  He died in Toronto on May 25 1987, in his 83rd year.  Husband of the late Elizabeth.  Father of Elizabeth Hermes and her husband Fred, and Arlene Brown and her husband Maynard.  5 grandchildren are named.  Obit also says that he had 7 great grandchildren.  Interment Beechwood Cemetery.
