Hi guys. Im doing my family tree and i cant find any info on my great grandfather John D Atkins.
I have his birthdate and death/burial info and lots of stuff after he married my great grandmother Jane Hall but nothing before! I know his fathers name was down as Hugonis on the marriage cert so im presuming his name was Hugh but cannot find anything else so im hoping you fine people will steer me in the right direction as to where to look!
Hoping you can help as im stuck on a few old relatives!

Hugh Dale Aitken, full age, widower, labourer, s/o John Aitken, ropemaker, married Ellen Stewart, full age, widow, d/o Willian Owens, blacksmith, at Liverpool, 31 Mar 1872.

If I have the right couple in the 1911 John's birth year is given as 1876.  Living at 23 St Martins Place Liverpool, Liverpool, Lancashire with wife Jane and five children.

Can't seem to find the birth that you have jom.  Where did you find it?

John and parents Hugh and Ellen are at 72 Bond St Liverpool in 1881, search for Aitkins.

Atkin and not Atkins.

I wonder what the correct spelling of the surname is?  Atkin, Atkins or Aitkin?
