For the item about William Coleman, I've transcribed the details from the Bucks Herald, as it has more details.

Message From The Sea
A bottle has been found on the seashore, about two miles from Lerwick, which, being opened, contained the following message: - "Alfred Coleman, Wingrave, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England. Lost on the Auraima during a severe gale. October 24, 1889." It was written in pencil on what seemed to be the leaf of a note-book.

Wingrave
A dishonest domestic. - At the Slough Petty Sessions on Wednesday, Minnie Coleman, 18, domestic servant, of Wingrave, was charged with stealing a gold watch, silver bracelet, chiffon hat, petticoat, and lady's jacket, the property of Mrs Cass, wife of Mr Cass, postmaster of Slough, her employer. Mr Cass valued the property at £7. The clothing was produced in Court, but the watch and bracelet were missing. Defendant was previously employed at Eton, and he had a verbal reference with her. - Cecil Benton, assistant to Messrs. Partington, pawnbrokers, Slough, said defendant brought the watch to them and offered it for sale, saying it was given to her by brother for a birthday present, and she wanted to sell it as it was out of order, and she had had another given to her. She asked 6s. for it, and he purchased it, and gave information to the police. Two days afterwards he took it to London, to the refiners, and solid it for 15s., and he could not get it back. - P.S. Pearce said he searched the prisoner's boxes at the GWR cloak room at Slough, and found nothing belonging to the prosecutor. He then went to Chalvey and saw the accused, who was wearing the jacket and hat. He accordingly took her to the Police Station, where his wife found that she had got on the petticoat that was missing. She then said she knew nothing about the watch and bracelet, but afterwards admitted that she had both, and sold the former and lost the latter. - Prisoner pleaded guilty, expressed her sorrow for what she had done, and asked the Magistrates to give her another chance. - The Chairman said they were exceedingly sorry to send a young girl like her to prison, but they did not see any alternative. She behaved with the greatest audacity in selling the watch in the same street as she stole it from, and also in wearing the clothes within a mile and a half of where she took them. The Bench could send her to prison for six months, but they wished to be lenient with her, and she would have one month's hard labour. The Justices also expressed the disapproval of the sale of the watch by Messrs. Partington  two days after its purchase, although Mr Benton had explained that they took things to London every three months, and the day in question was the usual time for them to do so.

Wholesale Robberies At Mentmore Castle
William Coleman (25), labourer, of Wingrave, was brought up charged with having stolen, on the 6th of June, and on previous dates unknown, from the workshops at Mentmore Castle, a quantity of glass, two balls of railway line, several dozen brass rings and hooks, a gaselier chain, a quantity of pneumatic bell tubing, two lengths of blind cord, two boxes of gun cartridges, several dozen cartridges, a quantity of red and green baize, a quantity of harness, a set of new taps and dies, six new files, a quantity of wax tapers, quantity of new boarding, a quantity of glue, whiting nails, jacks, screws, locks, two jack planes, two hammers, four chisels, and various other articles, the property of Earl Roseberry, the whole being valued at £20. He was further charged with stealing a tenon saw, turning saw, and a saw set, the property of Albert Dawson, builder, of Leighton Buzzard, from a building in course of erection of Mentmore, on Sept. 17th, 1881, and also with stealing from the Stag Inn, Mentmore, on the 8th of November, 1881, a hand saw, valued at 3s., the property of George Rowe. - The prisoner, it appeared from the evidence of several witnesses, had been employed on the premises of the Castle as a bricklayer's labourer. A quantity of glass was missed, and he was suspected, and, on police searching his house, all the goods enumerated, which together made up a cart load, were found and identified. - In answer to the charge, Coleman admitted stealing all the goods belonging to Earl Roseberry, except some wood, which he said he had taken home for temporary convenience; the saws and other articles, belonging to Mr Dawson and Mr Rowe, he said he had purchased at different times - some as long back as four years ago. - A curious incident in the case was the production of a small book, which, lost from a cottage, had been found in the prisoner's possession. The fly-leaf, which had borne the owner's name, had been removed, and Coleman had, on the cover, inserted his own name, with the addition "A reward from the Sunday School." The date when the reward was received was, however, several years before the book was printed, as shown by the date on the title page. - Prisoner was committed for trial on all three charges to the Quarter Sessions.
