I have been researching the MARS(T)ON family for many years. I have established a family belonging to Thomas MARS(T)ON and Mary all baptised in Oakham beginning around 1735. I have been trying to find a marriage for Thomas and Mary to no avail. Nor can I find a birth for Thomas. There is another MARS(T)ON family in Oakham, namely that of John and Mary, having children at roughly the same time. There is an earlier family, William or Will and Sarah, who had a child, Thomas in 1698, But he was buried in 1699. I had thought that these might be his parents.
