white horse lane, stepney/mile end old town.
« on: Monday 04 May 20 13:46 BST (UK) »
hi, I've tried most routes to find my Barbara Rogers but coming up blank with anything before her marriage in 1842.......i was hoping somebody to look up white horse lane in stepney for me as this is the address she gives on her marriage certificate....I've tried myself but ancestry just doesn't seem to want to show me white horse lane. Barbara's marriage cert says her fathers name is James. I have no mother or siblings so cant move forward there. I have found that there is a James Rogers living at 75 white horse lane, mile end old town  in 1876 so that's a positive, but cant find anything else...maybe someone with the knowledge of finding address's can help. Thank you for any help given.

I get a 404 error too when clicking on the street name.

I haven't tried this, but I think you probably have to enter the information from the three columns on the right into the appropriate boxes in the 1841 census to see who is living in the street.

As you can see on the link, there is an east side and a west side of the street, and it is a long street.  :)

Here it is in case you haven't found it on a map yet:

Good luck.

This is archived content. Clicking on the street name does not work you have to use the Reference   ↓   Book number   ↓   Folio   ↓ and enter them in the census.

It came up for me from a google search. You should be able to replicate the search.
