thank you maym.  how did you find all this info so quickly?
could you help me trying to find a photo of Thomas Lyons, from Dublin, joined the australian army, died of wounds received at gallopoli, turkey.  I wounder if the army would have any photos of him

I used the search engine at the National Library of Australia's Trove website.
https://trove.nla.gov.au/
then
https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/gazette?q=
then
https://trove.nla.gov.au/gazette/search?adv=y
then used the keywords using ' the phrase'  option    'rejected passenger' and restricted the years to 1912 - 1912  then read the entire articles (only two of them) and followed the clues in those two articles.

I’d say that the only chance of a photo is to connect with a family member in Ireland.
