Trying to find Ellen Jenkins pre 1871

Hello!

After a break I am revisiting my brick wall. One of my lines of enquiry is as follows:

1871 Census has Ellen Jenkins b Pwllheli c1839, unmarried and her niece Catherine Jenkins, b Pwllheli c1854, single, both living in Vron Lodge, Bangor, Caernarvonshire.

I have Ellen in future census records, but can't find either Ellen or Catherine in the earlier census records. Any help appreciated

I suspect Ellen's age is wrong in 1871.

Pwllheli 11b, 416 J,F,M 1854 - mmn - Williams looks like the birth registration of Catharine Jenkins.
Pwllheli 11b, 821 A,M,J 1852 - John Jenkins/Elizabeth Williams may be the marriage of her parents. This marriage is on FindmyPast - John Jenkins, sailor Pwllheli, son of David Jenkins, shoemaker; Elizabeth Williams, Pwllheli, dau of Griffith Williams, joiner on 27 Apr 1852.

The 1841 census (HO107, 1392, 3, 12, 16) in Kings Head Street, Pwllheli has:
Catherine Jenkins, widow, 45, baker
John, son, 15
Ellin, dau, 10

and the 1851 (HO107, 2513, 297, 15) in High Street, Pwllheli has:
Catherine Jenkins, widow, 56, general shop keeper, b. Llannor
Ellin, dau. 20, b. Llannor

Talacharn has explained why I couldn't find the 1861!
