Moses Hughes b Dudley 1818

Hi - I need help with the above. He married an Ellen and had children from 1840 - Betsy, Catherine, Mary, Sarah Ann, William, Hannah, Betsy (again) and Maria and they ended up in Rotherhithe SE London. I originally thought Moses had married Mary Ellen Evans in 1840 in Sedgeley, but when I was searching him elsewhere I fouind a reference to an Ellen Parkes as his wife, and in the 1861 census the family (without Moses) are with a Nancy Parkes b 1778 Dudley who could be his wife's mother. However I cannot find a marriage of a Moses to an Ellen Parkes. Any help gratefully received. Thanks

Have you checked the children’s births here to establish the mother’s maiden name?

Can you include some info as to Ellens birthyear & birthplace and same info for the children

I can't locate them in 1841 or 1851 under the profile given for Moses

If Nancy Parkes is Ellen's mother, as the Census states,  it is possible that she had remarried.

Have you considered that Nancy may have been previously married and Ellen was from her first marriage

Nancy Parkes is mother in law to Thomas Leonard Reynolds (spouse Catherine) in 1851 2033/113/14

There are several children but I haven’t yet found their births.

There is a child Eliza Reynolds 4 yrs in 1851.
There is a birth Eliza Reynolds 1846, Dudley with mmn Evans. But not sure of others.
