Translating Scottish English Entries

Good evening, I just now realized that we are only allowed one post per 24 hrs. So, I'm going to make the best of it with a 3 part latin conundrum on my end I'd love to have a translation of each of them if it's not too much trouble please.

The first is a baptism on 26 Mar 1626 for Elspott Dasone - parents are Johne Dasone and Beatrix Duncane; however, I don't see them in the image at all 

The second is another baptism, supposedly on the 17th of Dec, 1626. I believe I can make out the word Andersone but not much else. Parents are supposedly William Andersone and Margaret Caddell.

The third, yet another baptism, is the most difficult for me to make out anything in? The child is John Mitchell and parents are James Mitchell and Christane Thomeson - date is 30 Mar 1647.

I'm short of time so have done the Mitchell case only.  It is three up from the heading for APRYLE 1647.

The penult(imate) day James Mitchell hade twinnes borne to him of

his wyff Christane Thomeson baptized and callit the ane Robert

and the uther Johne, witness Robert Stevinson Thomas Couper

James Legatt Johne potter andro currie Joⁿ Smyth


This should be the 30 March 1647 as expected.

Joⁿ - may be Jonathon rather than John.

Sorry - should have been more precise. I believe you are only allowed to post on "new topic" every 24 hrs. At least that's the way it seems to me? Maybe a moderator can clarify?

Naizam, I've clicked on "Report to moderator" to ask for clarification.
The only things I limit to once in 24 hours are shopping, going out for exercise and eating cake.

You are welcome to post on as many topics as you like, there is no daily limit.

The only reference to '24 hours' is the time limit for a member editing a post. After 24 hours of posting only a Moderator is able to edit a post, and they can be asked to do this by using the Report to Moderator button and explaining the need for the request.

Spades - This is the message I got from Trystan:

There is a limit of one or two posts per 24 hour period  on some of the boards. So just try again after that amount of time has passed.

This is done to prevent a board from being swamped by requests.
