McNally - missing siblings
« on: Monday 11 May 20 15:14 BST (UK) »
I’ve been building my family tree and have some info but not all on my grandfathers siblings (he is apparently 1/13) if anyone has any way to look for the few I’m missing or can point me in the right direction to do this myself I would be extremely grateful as I don’t like that they have been forgotten through what I’m told was a family falling out.

My grandfather is named Francis Wilfred McNally b. 27/11/1921 in Stockton-on-Tees he died 17/4/2009 in Thornaby-on-Tees.

His parents were named William McNally b. abt. 1892
and Kathleen Chandler (later Moore) b. abt. 1896

The siblings I can find are called Ellen Irene b. 1917
Mervyn J b.1924
and Silvanus (Sylvanus?) b. 1915 McNally
I am aware of a brother named Sonny who I met when I was very young however this may not be his real name.

The 1939 register may show some children if they have passed away but like the others am not finding 13  :-\

Unless he had half siblings from somewhere to make up the numbers.
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

If Cathleen married again, there are 5 more children with surname Moore & MMN Chandler born Gateshead, between 1925 & 1938

Thanks everyone, my aunt seems to recall my granddad (Francis) was put into a children’s home after his father left for another woman and his mother remarried. She seems to think there was a half brother named Samuel but details aren’t great as my granddad never mentioned his family to any of us due to them apparently falling out :(
Hoping more digging might help reveal some names, I appreciate all the help.
