One of my relations got involved in a betting problem and unfortunately took his own life in the 1955, has anyone access to the papers in Thanet at this time that could help out.

Unfortunately the only years showing for Thanet newspapers online are 1950 and 1958 at present. If you have someone who can access the local paper at a library once they are open they may be able to view the year you need.

Of course I forgot the libraries are closed, hopefully someone can look when they open again!

  I did that yesterday on the off-chance. They are working from home and have no access to the collections. "So although we can reply to enquiries our answers are limited by these circumstances, and our research and reprographics services can only resume when we are back at Maidstone."
