You could also request newspaper death notice scans from Dunedin Library but the funeral directors as shown above will most likely have them. Obtaining these will give you the information you need to search for and possibly contact the descendants you are seeking.

Wow, many thanks for your time and expertise. Yes I have seen much of the official information and used papers past before but not some of the later estate/burial information and hadn't considered contacting funeral directors etc as a lead to find family.
Violet May was Walters grand-daughter, as far as I'm aware she had one son who went to Australia and then disappears from record but thats probably because most of my research has been via ancestry which has its limitations.
Once we get some more normality in the post lock-down period I will pursue some new angles.

Born in Oamaru, New Zealand on 30 Aug 1945 to Hamilton Robb and Charlotte Mary Wilson. Marie Hope Robb passed away on 5 Nov 1991 in at her home in Turangi, North Island, NZ.
