Tom KING Town Clerk
« on: Tuesday 12 May 20 07:06 BST (UK) »
Appreciate any help.
Trying to find my mum's cousin Margaret Rankin KING (nee FOTHERINGHAM)born 1916 Denny. Margaret married Thomas KING (1941 Bonnybridge). Tom (born abt 1912) was Town Clerk at Selkirk where they both lived in later years and where they both passed away. Margaret in 1975 and Tom in 1968.
Have tried to find any cemetery headstones without any luck.

Hi this is their headstone in Shawfield cemetery .I transcribed the whole large cemetery but too large to photograph each stone. I can give you a map to find it if necessary.
43 Lying flat .In loving memory of a dear husband and father THOMAS KING who died 29th February 1968 aged 55yrs and his dear wife MARGARET FOTHERINGHAM who died 17th April 1975 aged 58yrs.

The headstone is lying flat because the lair is on the side of a banking.Hope this is what you are looking for.

Thanks Alan for your help and time on finding the headstone. We live in Australia so going there isn't really going to happen. I'm not sure of Margaret and Tom's children to follow up on. Can't get to any information on my cousin's.
Once again thank you
