Charles Westin (middle name possibly starts with V) was born in 1827 in Sweden (unknown district) according to the 1881 census RG11/3269. He is aged 44 and a Ships Broker. He was married to an Elizabeth A Llewellyn in the district of Caistor Lincs in 1861 and lived in Grimsby.

I have not found him on the 1861 or 1871 census. and he died in 1883 in the district of Caistor Lincs.

Any further information about Charles would be much appreciated as I am trying to connect him with a lady called Hilda Maria Olsen also from Sweden of which there is a separate post.

There is also this mention in 1870 in the Western Mail, Tuesday,  Apr. 19, 1870
"A NOTORIOUS BURGLAR CAUGHT - Daniel Shean whose capture in Cardiff was reported in the Western Mail on Saturday, was charged with two robberies of wearing apparel in Cardiff, on Thursday last. One was a charge of stealing a shirt and a guernsey, the other was the theft of a pair of trousers and a vest, stolen from the shop of Mr. Charles Westin ..."
