Does anyone have a picture of this former player.
He also served in the Royal Artillery in WW1.
He was born in 1884 and died 13th May 1938 , age 54.
He was the brother of former Welsh International George Albert Rowles (1865-1922)

Thank you for the picture Mabel.
This is not the Arthur 1884-1938 but another Arthur 1892-1959, also born in Cardiff and on the same tree.
But I am delighted as the picture is of another WW1 soldier that I did not have a picture of.
The picture is of Arthur Rowles nephew of the great Welsh player George Rowles.
Arthur 1884-1938 is brother of the great Welsh player George Rowles.
So a great result. Thank you.

Don't know if you have seen an article about an Arthur Rowles who played cricket for Penarth, but on the same page is a photo of who its says is W Rowles (? could they have used the incorrect initial)

What a brilliant spot Sam.
I think you could be correct.
The article reads A. Rowles. Can't see who else the article would be about.
I have sent a request to the Penarth Rugby Football Club asking if the have a picture of
Arthur Rowles 1884-1938) but I suspect not.
Maybe I should send them this picture and ask again.
It might jog someone's memory.

Once again thank you for being so sharp-eyed. Brilliant.

Regards
STUART
