Hello Munchkin, welcome to Rootschat

I'm afraid the likelihood of finding any divorce record is very small. A snippet of info from the National Archives:-
The survival rate of divorce case files is:
1858-1927: almost 100%
1928-1937: 80%
After 1937: less than 0.2%
No case files survive from the district registries set up in 1927.
As you can see, the survival rate after 1937 is very small indeed.
What exactly would you like to find out about your maternal grandfather? If you wish to have help with him you will need to provide a name, birth year and place of birth.
