Marriage for William Collingbourne

Trying to find a marriage record for a William Collingbourne. All I know is that he lived in the Stepney area and was married before 1939. He was born in 1908.
He's one of the two 'secret' brothers I found when researching my grandmother so curious to know more about him!
Literally cannot find any marriage record though =(
Anyone able to help and see what I'm missing?

freebmd has a death in 1949 for a William Collingbourne born 1908 registered in Stepney

ADDED Why do you think he was married before 1939?

Who are the two others with him in the 1931 electoral register @ York Place?

Alice still there in 1950, no William.

Mother's Maiden Surname: PADDON 
GRO Reference: 1913  J Quarter in KENSINGTON  Volume 01A  Page 215

Looking on the free index to the 1939 register for Alice's born 24.3.1913
One is
Alice Sullivan, 1913, living 59 Sellons Avenue, Willesden, with James Sullivan, born 1881, and Alice Sullivan, born 1882
Also two other females, who may be other daughters of James and Alice and who may have birth registrations with mmn Paddon.

So, if it might be her, were she and William really married?

Yes I found Alice and William on the electoral reg and wondered if he married an Alice, but couldn't find the marriage reg to back it up.
I say married before 1939 as he is shown as married on the 1939 register, but is not living with a spouse. Prior to 1939 he lived at 9 York place with his parents and siblings, he moved to 10 York place in 1939.
