Elizabeth Case - Cardington
« on: Friday 15 May 20 20:42 BST (UK) »
Am looking to trace back from an Elizabeth Case, born I think c 1817 in Cardington.  She married my x3 G Grandfather George Hillyard a rat catcher in Cardington in 1835. Her age is from Census entries. The online records seem to have a gap between 1812 and 1837 and not in Ancestry. Thanks

Cardington Baptisms 1813 - 1837 have been transcribed & are available here.....

There is no Elizabeth Case, however there is a Sarah Case, daughter of John & Mary, baptised 12 Oct 1817

The marriage of George Hillyard to Elizabeth Case on 3 Apr 1835 had witnesses John Redman & Mary Hillyard

Regards John

Ah many thanks for that. John and Mary seem the likely parents and poss that Sarah had another Christian name preferred later. Dodgy assumptions I know. I’ll check out the references. Thank you
