Thomas George Rowles was born on Thursday, 5th May 1898 at No. 10 Kenmont Gardens, Hammersmith, London, the son of Thomas and Alice Elizabeth Rowles (née Boxall), a Railway Worker ‘Smith’.

In the 1911 census he is age 12 and living with his parents at 10 Kenmont Gardens, Harrow Road, Fulham, London.

He enlisted in the Royal Engineers on 21st July 1917. He gave his occupation as ‘Fitter’s Mate’, and his address as 10 Kenmont Gardens, College Park, London NW1. He was admitted to hospital on 21st December 1917 with Malaria, on 16th June 1918 with Debility, on 25th September 1918 with Malaria again. He had served in Mesopotamia from September 1917 until July 1919.
He was invalided to India on 27th July 1919 and admitted to Deolali Hospital.
He was eventually discharged on 12th October 1919.

He married Beatrice Maud Bunting in 1922 at Willesdon.
Beatrice Maud died in 1984 at Luton, age 81.

In the ‘1939 Register’ he is living at 10 Kenmont Gardens, London NW1.
His occupation is given as ‘Stores Issues’.

He died in 1968 at Luton, age 69.

If you purchase the death cert it will give you an address, then scout around the area for burial grounds, will be a course of elimination
