Can you find her on the passenger list?
« on: Saturday 16 May 20 13:59 BST (UK) »

Looking for Amy Heckford born 1846 Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.
I have her in the census up to 1871.
She married in New York 24 August 1871 to John J. Clark at Trinity Episcopal Church. Seneca Falls.
I cannot find her on passenger lists.
Any help please.

Many thanks.

Sorry about that, this link will work and then you just search https://www.libertyellisfoundation.org The familysearch also works and gives more information. She landed between 20 May 1871 and 8 Jun 1871 in New York. Which suggests, if it is the person you are looking for, that she either already knew the person she married or they had a very quick romance.

Hello Sandra

Thanks for that, I do have a free account with Family Search, I was looking for Amy, Ann possibly was mistaken for Amy.
Thanks to you both.

Hi Carol,

Quite a coincidence if it wasn't her.   Nothing else turning up at the moment.

Stay Safe
