Hello,

Captain Alexander Wilson was wounded and made prisonner in France in january 1811 .

https://www.retronews.fr/journal/gazette-nationale-ou-le-moniteur-universel/24-janvier-1811/149/1995815/1
and next page

He went  in hospital , then in prison in Arras.
In July 1811 he asked for pardon but it was refused.

I did not find his death in Arras, maybe he finally could go back to England.

Can someone find infos about him ?

Thank you.

According to accounts in British newspapers, the ship was the Hibberts. I can't see any mentions after February 1811.

Thank you ShaunJ.
According to the french documents , "the Hibberts" was sunk and the captain said to be " mortally wounded" , but in fact he was still alive in july 1811.

I am looking for infos about the captain Alexander Wilson .
